Sally Tanner
Counsellor
Sally is a Masters-qualified, ACA Level 2-accredited counsellor with an integrative, trauma-informed approach to therapy. With a background in mental health research and clinical trials, she brings both evidence-based grounding and genuine warmth to every therapeutic relationship.
Sally specialises in supporting adults navigating:
Anxiety & Burnout - Exploring the patterns, triggers, and nervous system responses that keep anxiety and exhaustion cycling, and building practical pathways toward regulation, restoration, and sustainable wellbeing.
Relationship Stress - Addressing the relational patterns that impact connection, boundaries, trust, and self-worth - whether with partners, family, or colleagues.
Identity & Authenticity - Supporting clients in understanding and embracing who they truly are, including navigating identity that has shifted or evolved over time, the experience of having lived out of alignment with your real self, and building a life that reflects your values rather than others' expectations.
ADHD & Neurodivergence - Helping late-diagnosed adults make sense of their history, reframe their experience, and build a life that works with their nervous system rather than against it.
Sally is passionate about creating a safe, inclusive, and non-pathologising space for people from all walks of life - including the LGBTQIA+ community, neurodivergent individuals, and those from diverse cultural backgrounds.
Believing therapy is a collaborative journey, Sally draws on CBT, ACT, person-centred, IFS-informed and somatic frameworks, tailoring her approach to each person rather than fitting clients into a model.
