Tracy Dedman Counsellor

Tracy

(MCouns, NZAC)

Are you successful by every external measure, but privately wondering if any of it actually fits who you are?

Or carrying a level of responsibility that's starting to cost you more than it should?

Having lived and worked internationally for much of my adult life, I value working with people navigating identity, belonging, and change across cultures. I am particularly interested in supporting clients to move towards the person they want to be, guided by what matters most to them.

Alongside training as a counsellor, I've spent more than a decade as an ICF accredited Executive Coach (PCC), working with leaders and organisations, which gives me a close up understanding of the pressures of high performance environments and career transitions.

I Work With: Individuals

Age: Adults

Languages: English

I work with people navigating:

Burnout & High-Responsibility Roles: for leaders, professionals, and caregivers balancing significant pressure.

Confidence & Self-Worth: self-doubt, perfectionism, and imposter feelings.

Identity, Meaning & Purpose: existential questions, life direction, and living in line with your values.

Anxiety, Panic & Depression: understanding what's happening and finding practical ways to respond.

Some clients arrive with a clear goal. Others just know something doesn't feel quite right. Both are a fine place to start.

What working together looks like

Sessions move naturally between reflection and practical strategies.

Many clients find that having space to be genuinely heard, without rushing towards a solution, is where the first real shift begins. From there, therapy often helps people discover greater choice in how they respond to situations that once felt automatic.

Rather than following a single counselling model, I draw on a range of evidence-informed approaches: person centred, ACT, IFS informed, somatic, and practical coaching informed strategies, choosing what is most likely to help based on your needs and goals.

Whether you are seeking support for a specific difficulty or simply want a space to reflect, I offer a collaborative space to explore your experiences with curiosity, compassion and hope.
